Gauri Shankar Temple
Gauri Shankar temple is such a beautiful temple in Naggar which is just 20 km away from the central city of Manali. It is a Shiva temple and has a lingam installed inside. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and famous for stone carvings. The view from this temple is fantastic, as the mountains and greenery can make you feel great.
Jagatipatt Temple is a significant attraction of Naggar. This temple is beautiful and rich in architecture. Inside the temple, the ceiling contains wood carvings set in panels. The wooden beams are carved with sharp designs of fluid motifs with beautiful patterns. Besides this, other slabs of stones and deodar timbers are used in the temple structure, making it earthquake-proof. From Naggar, the Jagipatt Temple, which lies in the vicinity, can easily be reached by road.
Just 50m down the lane beside the castle, this 11th-century stone temple is a relatively squat example of the sikhara style and contains a staring-eyed, metal deity.
Rumsu is a small traditional village in Naggar. Rumsu, at 2200 meters above sea level. Rumsu is a charming village with old wooden houses. Rumsu is also chiefly known for being the starting point of the trek to Malana. It is quiet and beautiful, much like most of the hilly areas in Himachal.
